On Aug 9th,24 the Sistec college organized an insightful session focused on the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and its remarkable contributions to space exploration and technology. The event was aimed at inspiring students and providing them with knowledge about India's space achievements and the importance of science and technology in modern society. Sagarites got the golden opportunity to be a part of this program. The program commenced with a brief introduction to #ISRO, highlighting its formation in 1969 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. The session covered ISRO's journey from its first #satellite, Aryabhata, launched in 1975, to its recent successful missions like #Chandrayaan-2 and Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan). An overview of ISRO's significant missions, such as Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, and the launch of GSAT satellites was showcased through a video. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered by a special guests Ms. Anuja Sharma, Dr. Madhavi Thakre, Mr. Mayank Bharadwaj scientists from ISRO. The interactive session sparked curiosity among students about space science and technology. The Sagarites made models of rockets, satellites, and spacecraft, showcasing their creativity and understanding of space technology. They had participated in Essay and Poetry writing competition alongwith Poster making highlighting Chandrayan and Mangalyaan. It was a wonderful interaction which ignited the flame to explore more about ISRO.
